Summer & Logan
Spring is here, so busy, busy, busy! Pardon me for my lack of posting :)
While most siblings could care less to have another addition to the family, stealing away love and attention, Logan was the opposite. So mature at age 2.

Stylin' Baby from Miami
I just love it when little babies already have such great sense of style!
9 month old Jacob sported a very colorful polo-polo ensemble, layered under a red vest jacket. His gray beret complimented his outfit and made him look more mature than his age...at least 3 months older.
Nevertheless, for my signature shots, I said to mom - "Let's do some bare top shots!"
I managed to snap a beautiful shot of his mom, Shannon. She is such an amazing role model to him. Everytime I talk to her, she is launching another business venture or investing in a big project. And she of course, has big plans for her Jacob.

I've had the joy of photographing this very pretty little girl since she was in her mommy's tummy. She's 6 months old now, smiles all day, and sings with her parents as they sing her lullabies.
Loved the shots we were able to capture at 6 months.

Vegas
So Vegas was educational and rewarding in so many ways. Kyu and I just returned from a week of seminars, tradeshows, networking with other photographers & catching up with old friends at the annual WPPI convention. We played our hands at the tables a few nights, coming home with cash in our pockets for once, and even did some "couple excursions" in the town - like watch "O", wine & dine ourselves, and celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the Strip. Fun times. I love being married :)

Being 3 months old
...is such a fun age. Between the 4 naps they take throughout their 12 hour day, they practice tummy-time, sing "The Wheels on the Bus," read lots of favorite pastime stories, play dress up with mommy and Alice, and then prepare for their next nap. So exhausting and overwhelming to be 3 months old!
Meet Evan and Ellen - both 3 months old, shot at different locations. Perhaps they will meet someday.

First Valentine's Day
We agreed on no gifts this year. After all, we had each other and that was all that mattered.

Happy Chinese New Year!
Love this time of the year. Lucky red envelopes, dancing dragons and fun festivals around Chinatown. I'm supposed to cook Kyu a traditional dinner this weekend and ask the gods to bless us this year of the rat. But, we'll see.... I'm sure the gods will bless us if we go out too!

Ravi & his hat
Clients always ask me how to dress their 8/9 month old babies in the winter time. I prefer the simpler, bare-skin look - to accentuate the chubby rolls that is so adorable at this age. But - I love to accessorize babies in diapers with little hats. Some babies hate them, but Ravi was such a trooper. How cute is he?!

The kids at Our House
Today I had the very AMAZING opportunity to photograph 30 kids at Our House, a child care and support center for homeless families. All of the images were finished in black & white and will be donated to the parents as a 5x7 desk print to have and keep forever. To many of the parents, this is the only formal portrait taken of their child, so I tried extra hard to capture each of their beautiful smiles and very charming personalities.
The last photo is the dedicated staff who are so passionate about kids, it makes me want to give each of them a great big hug!
